Miigen Support

In the event of your death one of your beneficiaries will need to request that your vault be unlocked.

They do this by logging in to Mii-VAULT with the login details that you previously gave them.

All that they will see are the details of the Lawyers, Financial Advisors and Executors that you have nominated as Key-Holders. We recommend that they then either call the Key-Holders or email them to warn them that they will be issuing an "Unlock Request".

It would be advisable for the beneficiary to be proactive and supply a copy of the death certificate and a copy of their own ID so that the Key-Holders will not need to respond with a request for some kind of validation that you have passed away.

Your beneficiaries will then issue the "Unlock Request" by clicking the button.

There then follows a 24 hour wait period during which time Mii-VAULT will send you an email and an SMS notifying you that there has been an unlock request.

Clearly, if you have passed away you will not respond. However, if this is a mistake and someone has accidentally triggered the request, you will be able to cancel the unlock request.

If, after the 24-hour wait period, you have not cancelled the request then this will trigger an email that will go to all of the nominated Key-Holders asking them to use their Key to unlock the Vault.

This email request to the Key-Holders will be sent every 24 hours for 3 days until the vault is unlocked.

If, after 3 days none of the Key-Holders have responded, Mii-VAULT Admin will notify the unlock requestor and ask them to personally try to contact the Key-Holders by phone and then re-issue the Unlock Request.
